By road from Truro: take the A39 to Falmouth until reaching the Kernick roundabout by ASDA on the Penryn by-pass roundabout. Turn right to Mabe Burnthouse and Mawnan Smith as signed, and continue following signs to Mawnan Smith (past the Argal reservoir and across the crossroads at the top). On entering the village, fork left by the Red Lion PH. Proceed out of the village for about half a mile, until you reach Carwinion Gardens on the right. Take the right hand lane by the entrance to the Gardens and the first drive on the right. Chynoweth is the house on the left hand side at the end of the drive.

On foot from the Coast Path at Porth Sawsen: follow the path behind the boat shed through Carwinion Woods. As you approach the main road, take the last drive on the left which leads to Chynoweth.
